This has happened, but I overcame it. This time it is worse. I can't talk about it to my family, because they are a part of the reason why. They have never hurt me physically, but they emotionally hurt me ( my feelings, I guess). I feel broken and hopeless, as well as useless. It really sounds like you are going through some struggles to have such thoughts. We are very concerned for you as you mentioned you are thinking about self-harm. You made a brave and wise choice to reach out for support. It is a negative coping skill and can be very harmful to you. Even if it brings short term relief, you do not need to hurt yourself to find relief. When you feel those urges, use a positive coping skill instead. It is a different type of relief you may find, and it can leave you feel more accomplished and find more long term relief from using positive coping skills. It will not fix the underlying issues that have caused you to want to self-harm. It can actually create more problems.
