My Dad Hit My Mom | Family | My Dad Hit My Mom | <div class="ExternalClass8FE6ECA244A94DCE9A5484AE599CA599"><p style="font-family:georgia;font-size:16px;">I'<span>m going through a hard time with my parents. My dad went to a party and later my mom smelled something on his shirt. This led to a huge
argument and ended up with my dad hitting my mom. Police were called but my dad
is using that to get even more angry, please help.</span></p>

going to be times when parents disagree or even argue over something, but there
is never a “right” time to use violence. It does not solve anything, and
usually gets both parties even more upset or worse yet, injured.</span></p>

house. Whoever contacted police did the right thing, because it sounds
like things were getting out of control. We sure hope that your mom is
ok. You deserve to feel safe within the walls of your own home. If
anyone is physically harming another in your household, you too can call police
for help.</span><br></p>

it feels when something like that happens – use feeling words - maybe terrified, worried, helpless?
– whatever it is that you feel, you have a right to those feelings. Keep
safe, don’t allow yourself to get into their physical fight, but call for help
should this happen again.</span><br></p>
