((Asking a teacher for help won't do we will all just get in trouble.</span><span> Learned that the hard way)) </span></p> <span style="font-size:16px;"> </span></div><div class="ExternalClass7B460C2649844C59919AD1C625759CE0"><div><div class="ExternalClass77E55CDB6B024AD380E092B513F6753B"><p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family:tahoma;font-size:16px;"><span>Thank you for contacting Your Life Your Voice.  It isn’t easy to reach out, but we are glad that you did.   Bullying  is not okay, and you are in a unique position in that you are friends with people in both of these groups.  That puts you in a tough position.</span></p> <span style="font-size:16px;"> </span><span style="font-family:tahoma;font-size:16px;"> </span><p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family:tahoma;font-size:16px;"><span>One thing that you can do is to refuse to get involved in the drama between the groups.  Do not take sides, but also, do not get involved with the bullying.  Walk away, and avoid these individuals when they are bullying.  An even more courageous step would be to tell your friends to stop bullying the people in the other group.  Since you are friends with both groups you might be able to be a mediator, and encourage both groups to let the past go, and to move forward in peace.  However, that is not easy, and you may end up being a target as well. </span><br></p> <span style="font-size:16px;"> </span><span style="font-family:tahoma;font-size:16px;"> </span><p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family:tahoma;font-size:16px;"><span>We always encourage getting an adult involved.  While people may get in trouble for bullying, getting an adult involved will hopefully make the behavior stop.  It does neither group any good to continue bullying the other group.  Getting an adult involved can stop the bullying permanently.  There will probably be consequences for the behavior if you get an adult involved, but in the long run it can be beneficial because bullying is not okay.</span><br></p> <span style="font-size:16px;"> </span><span style="font-family:tahoma;font-size:16px;"> </span><p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family:tahoma;font-size:16px;"><span>We want you to know that we are here for you.  With this situation, there might be times when you feel that you need to talk to someone and get support for yourself.  Our counselors are just a phone call away.  You can call us anytime.</span></p> <span style="font-size:16px;"> </span><span style="font-family:tahoma;font-size:16px;"> </span><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:tahoma;font-size:16px;">Nancy, counselor</span><br></p> <span style="font-size:16px;"> </span></div></div> </div>13
