counselor about my self-harm problems but I'm scared because I don't want to

that you did. Talking to your counselor is a good idea. It sounds
like you recognize that you need some outside support, but if you are not clear
and specific about what you are struggling with, that help is not going to be
useful anyway right? No, it is not a fun topic to have to cover, but both
your counselor and your father can only help with what they know you are
dealing with on the inside. It’s just too hard to make guesses or
try to figure everything out based on body language, because we can be really
good at hiding our true feelings.</span></p>

mind. It is not a normal thought to have and if feelings like this go
untreated, they can become worse over time. You want to feel better, so
getting over that hump and laying it all out there is a great step towards
getting there. A lot of times it is depression that leads to these
thoughts, but that is very treatable for most people. You would want
treatment for diabetes, or cancer, or bronchitis right? There is no shame
in what you are feeling or experiencing, but you deserve medical help just as
you for these other medical issues.</span><br></p>

could even help you talk to your father. Sometimes it’s easier to break
the ice when someone is there to help you do it.</span><br></p>

out your thoughts, walk into that counselors office, visualize a very happy
memory of yours, think some positive thoughts. Nothing is worth suicide. It is not a fix. It is an end.</span><br></p>
