Not only can social anxiety be rough, the twitching that results from anxiety particularly in social situations can make you feel like running away from others so to speak. Proud of you for reaching out to tell someone. The good thing is you're definitely not alone in experiencing social anxiety or displaying the physical side effects of anxiety (twitching). So many people feel anxious in social situations to one degree or another. There is much support out here and several skills and techniques you can learn to deal with it.
