I Cry When I'm StressedFeelingsI Cry When I'm Stressed<div class="ExternalClass037F0257A9B646ECAADEF67343FA7F35"><p>​I<span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"times new roman", serif;color:#15232b;"> need help. Each time I get upset or stressed, I end up crying. It makes my mom mad, she yells at me. </span><br></p></div><div class="ExternalClass97C7019AC5F24A71B11D997DFE51588B"><p>​We are glad you are reaching out for help. Have you tried various ways to remove yourself from the room prior to crying? Sometimes the best defense is offence. Avoiding the very things that precede the response from your Mother may be the key to stopping it. You will need some alternative things to do when you are upset or mad to replace the crying. <br></p><p>You can't change or control others. But, you can control your responses. Take a notebook and write down things that you could do instead of crying when you are stressed or frustrated. Make sure they are healthy things, not harmful. You can use this tip and tool to help you with this: <a href="/pages/feelings-plan.aspx">Feelings Plan</a> | <a href="/journalpages/feelings-plan-tool.pdf">Feelings Plan Tool</a> <br></p><p>One thing you can count on are social cues from others. If what you do, brings negative response from others, then you have to change what YOU do in order to get those negative responses to stop. Take control of yourself, your behaviors and your responses to your Mother's behaviors.
