Reaching out for support can be a challenging thing to do and can often be a little intimidating. Sadness is a heavy feeling and when we start to feel sad it can become overwhelming. Reaching out to someone to talk about it can be really helpful. Sometimes it can be a little easier to talk to someone when we trust the person we are talking to. Do you have someone in your life that you trust or feel comfortable talking to? This could be a family member, a teacher, a coach, or another adult in your life. Some people find it helpful to write how they are feeling in a letter and then giving it to the person you want to talk to.

Today you were courageous for reaching out and you are always welcome to email, text, or call us at our hotline when you're needing to talk to someone. Along with talking to someone about your feelings, it's important to have things that help you cope with those feelings too. Here are a few links to our website that may help you cope with some of the sad feelings you have been experiencing.

                How to Journal (yourlifeyourvoice.org)

                Overwhelmed (yourlifeyourvoice.org)

If you have any questions or if there is anything else we can do to help you, please reach out!
