I have felt like nobody cared about me. Nobody loves me and nobody wants to deal with me. I have had suicidal thoughts before. There have been times when I have actually wanted to commit suicide. I want to talk to my cousin because I trust her but every time I get the chance to I get scared and I can't talk to her. She is the only person that I have told that I wanted to actually take myself out of this world that way nobody would have to deal with me anymore and I wouldn't have to deal with people anymore either. <br></p></div><div class="ExternalClass9D940C0CAF9F46FEB0C7B75A22F61926"><p>​It sounds like you have been dealing with these feelings for a while. From your email, it sounds like you did tell your cousin that you have had suicidal thoughts, but you have been afraid to talk more with her about these feelings. Suicidal thoughts are very scary and you are so smart to keep reaching out and talking about these feelings. Your cousin sounds very understanding and since you want to talk more with her, but you are afraid, maybe you can write her a note about the feelings you have been having.</p><p> Talking about your suicidal thoughts can help you figure out some ways to relieve the feelings and start to feel a bit better. If you are having suicidal thoughts right now, here are a few things you can do to help keep yourself safe. 1) Try not to spend time alone when you are having these feelings. 2) <a href="/Pages/tip-creating-a-safety-plan.aspx?Topic=Suicidal%20Thoughts">Make a Safety Plan.</a> 3) Do something fun or relaxing to try and distract yourself, like listening to music, watching funny You Tube videos, calling a friend, reading or drawing. Really, anything that will help you get your mind off of the thoughts of hurting yourself would be good. 4) Most importantly, please try and reach out and talk with someone about these feelings! You can call and talk with one of our counselors 1-800-448-3000 24/7. Sometimes it's easier to talk with someone that you don't know.</p><p>You were so brave to reach out today and I am really hoping you will find a way to talk about your feelings. Until then, please keep yourself safe.
