<div class="ExternalClass9F1A21D926F44C1BB79AA35D22AE1B92"><p><span class="ms-rteFontFace-1 ms-rteFontSize-3 ms-rteThemeForeColor-2-4" style=""><span style="">I have been cutting as a coping method but I'm afraid I might use it as a way to end my life. I never have had the courage to tell someone about it and it has been getting worse. </span></span></p></div>
<div class="ExternalClass32A83DDC17FA4DBCB998AD617DFABB4A"><p><span class="ms-rteFontFace-1 ms-rteFontSize-3 ms-rteThemeForeColor-2-4" style="">We are glad you are reaching out because it is concerning that you are having thoughts of suicide and your self injury is getting more serious. We would like to get more information on what you are going through. The fact that you are considering suicide is telling us that what you are going through is more than you can handle on your own and you need help from others.</span></p><p><span class="ms-rteFontFace-1 ms-rteFontSize-3 ms-rteThemeForeColor-2-4" style="">It's very good you let others know because you should not be alone when you are feeling this bad. There is nothing you need to hide. Your feelings are real and need to be heard and validated. There is nothing that can't be worked out. Getting help could involve talking with a trusted adult, seeing a doctor or trying new ways to cope with your stress. </span></p><p><span class="ms-rteFontFace-1 ms-rteFontSize-3 ms-rteThemeForeColor-2-4" style="">We want to assure you there is a way to feel better and letting others know is a very mature and wise thing to do. You were very brave to reach out and let us know what is going on. You are hurting and need support. This is what you should ask for and what you need. We all need others for support and this is your time that you need it the most. The Boys Town National Hotline has a lot of support we can offer. You can talk to a crisis counselor over the phone at 1-800-448-3000 or through our texting service by texting VOICE to 20121 from 2p-1a CST. </span></p><p><span class="ms-rteFontFace-1 ms-rteFontSize-3 ms-rteThemeForeColor-2-4" style="">Our website also has a lot of ideas to deal with tough emotions and situations. <span style="background-color:transparent;">Here are a few articles that may also</span><span style="background-color:transparent;"> be helpful:</span></span></p><p><a href="/Pages/tip-Suicidal-Thoughts.aspx"><span class="ms-rteFontFace-1 ms-rteFontSize-3 ms-rteThemeForeColor-2-4" style="">http://www.yourlifeyourvoice.org/v2/Pages/tip-Suicidal-Thoughts.aspx</span></a></p><p><a href="/Pages/tip-What-You-Need-to-Know-About-Coping-Skills.aspx"><span class="ms-rteFontFace-1 ms-rteFontSize-3 ms-rteThemeForeColor-2-4" style="">http://www.yourlifeyourvoice.org/v2/Pages/tip-What-You-Need-to-Know-About-Coping-Skills.aspx</span></a></p><p><a href="/Pages/tip-when-feelings-lie.aspx"><span class="ms-rteFontFace-1 ms-rteFontSize-3 ms-rteThemeForeColor-2-4" style="">http://www.yourlifeyourvoice.org/v2/Pages/tip-when-feelings-lie.aspx</span></a></p><p><span class="ms-rteFontFace-1 ms-rteFontSize-3 ms-rteThemeForeColor-2-4" style="">We hope to hear from you very soon and please stay safe and know this can pass and you can feel better soon,</span></p><p><span class="ms-rteFontFace-1 ms-rteFontSize-3 ms-rteThemeForeColor-2-4" style="">Anne, <span style="background-color:transparent;">Counselor</span></span></p></div>
