It Just Gets WorseSuicideIt Just Gets Worse<div class="ExternalClass1D631B6E072F465CB8A33EF900B45957"><p style="font-family:georgia;font-size:16px;"><span>I've been going through a lot lately and that's caused me to go deeper in my depression, I've been feeling suicidal and I'll cry for hours without end. My school device is getting taken away so there's no way for me to contact my friends which are the only things that keep me alive and going. My family life has been so hard for me lately and I don't know what else to do. We're always fighting and they have been bringing me down and deeper in my depression. Part of me just wants to get the pain over with.. the only people who truly care about me and help me get through my life at home are getting taken away from me and I can't do it. Every day I get into numerous fights with a girl that's been harassing my friends and I at school and then fight with my parents. I don't know what to do anymore. Even the school is against me and taking away my friends and making me move lunch tables which is the only time I actually have with them. The people I love and love me are getting taken away from me and I'm just falling apart. Every day I want to kill my self, but I never do. I keep telling myself it'll get better, when it just gets worse. </span></p> <span style="font-size:16px;"> </span></div><div class="ExternalClass7B29C68E21934FDDB782029E98851643"><div><div class="ExternalClass1D631B6E072F465CB8A33EF900B45957"><p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family:tahoma;font-size:16px;"><span>It is good that you are reaching out for support.  It sounds like your thoughts are steadily becoming more intense.  Suicidal thoughts are something to take seriously and get help for right away.  Don't let those thoughts build up, instead talk to an adult that you trust right away.  If you are not sure who to talk to, call our hotline - 1-800-448-3000, we will be here for you.</span></p> <span style="font-size:16px;"> </span><span style="font-family:tahoma;font-size:16px;"> </span><p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family:tahoma;font-size:16px;"><span>It sounds like you are having a hard time with many of the relationships in your life.  When there is a pattern of ongoing problems sometimes it is helpful to journal about what is going on.  Writing down the things that are bothering you can help you organize your thoughts and break them down into smaller issues.  When you see each issue separately it won't feel so overwhelming and will allow you to work through each issue one at a time.</span></p> <span style="font-size:16px;"> </span><span style="font-family:tahoma;font-size:16px;"> </span><p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family:tahoma;font-size:16px;"><span>Attached are some tips that you may find helpful:</span><br></p> <span style="font-size:16px;"> </span><span style="font-family:tahoma;font-size:16px;"> </span><p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family:tahoma;font-size:16px;"></p> <span style="font-size:16px;"> </span><span style="font-family:tahoma;font-size:16px;"> </span><p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family:tahoma;font-size:16px;"><a href="/Pages/tip-9-steps-to-taking-care-of-yourself.aspx">http://www.yourlifeyourvoice.org/v2/Pages/tip-9-steps-to-taking-care-of-yourself.aspx</a> </p> <span style="font-size:16px;"> </span><span style="font-family:tahoma;font-size:16px;"> </span><p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family:tahoma;font-size:16px;"><span><a href="/Pages/tip-99-coping-skills.aspx">http://www.yourlifeyourvoice.org/v2/Pages/tip-99-coping-skills.aspx</a>.</span></p> <span style="font-size:16px;"> </span><span style="font-family:tahoma;font-size:16px;"> </span><p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family:tahoma;font-size:16px;"><span>One more thing that you may want to consider:  it takes two to fight.  Instead of fighting with the girl at school and your parents, try taking a different approach.  Try to interact with them positively, and things may go better all the way around.  It wouldn’t hurt to try this – right now fighting with them is not going very well for you. </span><br></p> <span style="font-size:16px;"> </span><span style="font-family:tahoma;font-size:16px;"> </span><p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family:tahoma;font-size:16px;"><span>We want you to know that we are here for you.  </span><span>Please take care and let us know how you are doing. </span><br></p> <span style="font-size:16px;"> </span><span style="font-family:tahoma;font-size:16px;"> </span><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:tahoma;font-size:16px;">Nancy, counselor</span><br></p> <span style="font-size:16px;"> </span></div></div> </div>13
