I haven't been doing and finishing my work and homework. Because I didn't care about school. I know that if I don't do my work, I'm gonna fail. Right now, I am failing Driver's Ed, Biology, Geometry, and Art Foundation 2. And it's ALL MY FAULT!! I was too lazy, too stupid, and didn't even care! I'm scared I might have to repeat the 10th grade! And I DO NOT want to take Geometry again! If my parents find out, they'll get furious and take my phone away! I don't want my phone taken away! I'm addicted to the internet! And yes, I have thought about suicide. If I kill myself, I wouldn't have to deal with school stress anymore. I do see a phycologist, but my next appointment isn't for a couple of weeks. I don't know how much longer I'm gonna survive.

We can understand your panic and anxiety about this. Failing school is serious but nothing to end your life over. You stated that you will get your phone taken away and that worries you because you are addicted to the internet. Maybe that is what needs to happen in order for you to get your priorities straight. It is a hard lesson that many teens go through. You are definitely not alone in feeling this way. School is tough and getting the motivation to do the work when you have other "fun" things to do can be really hard. We get it.

Ending your life won't be your answer. Ending your life means that you end all that is fun, exciting and good and it will eliminate things from working out and you leading a good life. Please talk with your school counselor about this. Since you are in school and struggling, they can still offer you the support that you deserve. You don't have to do this alone.

Your parents will see your grades at the end of the semester. You can either tell them in advance or wait, but prepare yourself for them to be upset. Any parent would be and that is normal. So now you decide how you will handle this. Take the consequence and make up the work if possible . Your teachers and counselors may suggest that you attend summer school. This will give you a second chance.

Take a minute to think rationally about this. We are here to help you make the best and healthiest decision. Please call, chat or text later if you can. We are here for you.

Take care,

Naina, counselor

16
