I am currently suffering from a break up. It was making me suicidal so I called the suicide prevention hotline and got some help. However, I'm still very emotional and having a lot of trouble coping and I don't really have anyone else to talk to.

We can appreciate the pain that can accompany a break up. It is the brave and wise thing to do to reach out when we are hurting. A break up can feel like an emotional wound. Like a physical wound, they take time to heal, and also need to be treated. That may sound strange, yet treating an emotional wound is about not denying the pain, yet not allowing the pain to totally define our life. It is important to keep doing things we like to do, maybe even find a few new things to try. We need to continue to spend time friends and family, and be cautious about spending too much time alone, or withdrawing into our own isolation. It is important to keep reaching out.

We want you to know we are here for you.
