My Friend Is In A Bad RelationshipRelationshipsMy Friend Is In A Bad Relationship

My friend is in a really bad relationship and I've tried to help her but I don't know what to do anymore. All they do is fight and he's controlling and he "gets rough" with her like grabbing her or shaking her when they fight. I'm afraid one time he'll hit her. She sometimes has bruises that she says she just doesn't know where they came from. She has also threatened to kill herself and attempted because of all the fighting. He has threatened her and had a loaded gun one time when he did. She's 17 and he's 16, and they said they wanted to try to have a kid and when they actually did they both flipped out and said that they're not ready but now he wants it but she doesn't want it and he gets mad when it's brought up. She changes her mind about what she wants. One minute she loves him and wants the kid the next she just wants to break it off but she never does. I have tried my hardest to help her and I just don't know what to do anymore.

<div 17 is very difficult. If your friend is already pregnant, encourage her to look into the supports in your area for teen moms. Tell her that it is is ok to ask for help.

If your friend is not already pregnant remind her that she may not be ready to be a parent. Talk to her about the things that a baby will need and the financial commitment that comes with having a baby. Don't let her believe that a baby will fix everything. While a baby is beautiful and sweet and snuggly they also need to have their diaper changed and they need someone to stay up with them when they are crying all night. Babies are a big responsibility.
<p us. She will be against it but if she doesn't get some help, you could lose her. She obviously trusts you or you would not have all of this information. A true friend can be trusted to do what is best for her and that is to turn it over to someone who can actually provide her with the help she needs.

 <span
