I've been with my boyfriend for about two months now, and I couldn't be happier. My only problem is that I'm extremely introverted. And he is extremely extroverted. I always run out of things to say around him, which puts a lull in our conversations. He does most of the talking, and he's told me that its bothers him a bit that I don't talk that much. I have no idea what to do. I don't want to hurt his feelings, I'm just so shy! What can me and him talk about, and not have there be an awkward silence?

Hi,

Often times in the beginning of relationships most people will talk about things that are of interest to them. Maybe a movie they have recently seen, or things that they enjoy doing. Depending on how and where you two met can lead to a topic of conversation. Talking about goals that you have set for yourself, an upcoming vacation or recent trip that you went on are also great topics.

Also remember that it's okay to have silence in a relationship. Not every minute you spend together will be full of conversation.

Take Care

Amy

14
