It's hard and I don't get it and I'm sorry I don't know what I'm asking for.

Losing someone to death can be very difficult for anyone. Grief is one of the hardest issues to work through for sure. Not feeling like yourself is a very normal feeling when you are grieving. It's okay to have questions, be upset, angry, sad, happy and etc. You will experience a number of emotions, sometimes in one day, when you are grieving the loss of anyone.

What is important is that you reached out to talk with someone. Recognizing that you don't feel right and don't seem like yourself is a great first step to healing. Talking to your parents about the person you lost, letting them know you are hurting, and finding support is one of the best ways to start moving forward. There is no time limit or time frame for grief. Everyone works through it in their own time and in their own way.

Keep talking about how you feel. Don't dwell on the feelings too long, keep busy, stay healthy and reach out anytime you feel like talking.

I have attached a few short articles that we think might be helpful to you. Let us know what you think.

http://www.yourlifeyourvoice.org/v2/Pages/tip-5-stages-of-grief.aspx

http://www.yourlifeyourvoice.org/v2/Pages/4-Ways-To-Ease-Grief.aspx

http://www.yourlifeyourvoice.org/v2/Pages/tip-Your-Feelings-are-OK.aspx

Thank you for reaching out for support. Our counselors are always here for you!!

Take care,

Naina, counselor

14
