Life Makes Me ExhaustedFeelingsLife Makes Me Exhausted
I feel constantly irritated and depressed. I don't know why. I'm tired of being with my family and I'm tired of doing school work. I can't deal with my emotions because most of the time I don't know what they are and why I feel them. I either try to forget or deny the feelings because I can't deal with them. I don't want to leave my house but I want to get away from my family. I don't want to meet anyone. Thinking about school and life in general makes me exhausted and angry. I wish I could stop existing because there's nothing else I can do and I don't want to live if I can't do anything about it. I hate communicating but everyone around me says that things are changing and I have to be able to communicate and lead and facilitate in order to become a decent human. I can't do that. I hate it and I can't do it. It makes me anxious and I shut down and it's embarrassing. If I can't become a member of society then I'd rather not exist at all. I don't have anything else to lose. I hate everything but I really hate myself. I don't know what to do. Cutting used to make me feel better but now I don't because I get in trouble and it's not worth it. I need another way to feel better but I promised myself that I won't do anything I like until I'm smarter and better at communication. I don't remember what I used to like anyways. I wish I could get instant relief from what I feel. I had two friends but I deliberately said mean things to them so they would stay away from me because I'm a horrible person and they deserve better. I don't want to talk to them either because I hate them too along with everything else. I don't know why I hate everything so much.

We all have times when we lack confidence and don’t feel good about ourselves.

But when low self-esteem becomes a long-term problem, it can have a harmful effect on our mental health and our lives. Thanks for your courage in being honest with your feelings; it is very important, especially if you want things to get better. Self-esteem is the opinion we have of ourselves. When we have healthy self-esteem, we tend to feel positive about ourselves and about life in general. It makes us able to deal with life’s ups and downs better. The more you share your feelings and your thoughts, the more help and progress you will get; otherwise things will not change for you in respect to your mental health.

We are concerned for your safety, as you indicated in your email that you are having suicidal thoughts. We are here to give you support. Please know that suicide is not the answer. Life can get pretty overwhelming at times, and it’s normal to not want to keep feeling this way. Suicide might seem like the only option to get away from the pain, but the reality is, suicide doesn’t make anything better. It takes away every opportunity for you to feel better and live your life to the fullest.

You have the right to develop healthy boundaries with yourself and with those who are around you. Soon you will be able to choose positive decisions in your life and so it is important to have a healthy self-esteem of yourself. We all deserve to grow up to be a responsible, healthy and independent adult. Positive self-talk, such as, telling yourself that you can do things and follow through; it will improve the way you think about yourself. We want you to reach out to people that give you positive support; like good friends, a school teacher, counselor, therapist and/or your parents.

When our self-esteem is low, we tend to see ourselves and our life in a more negative and critical light.
