My dad left us and I'm really deperssed about this. I feel like he left because I was the one causing fights between my mom and dad. </span></p> <span style="font-size:16px;"> </span><span style="font-family:georgia;font-size:16px;"> </span></div><div class="ExternalClassA460AB6B8777467196CA4D62077E3C80"><p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family:tahoma;font-size:16px;"><span>We’re glad you took the time and courage to reach out and tell us about what has been going on and how it has made you feel.  Losing people through distance and death can feel the same.  The loss is a difficult feeling to figure out and handle. </span></p> <span style="font-size:16px;"> </span><span style="font-family:tahoma;font-size:16px;"> </span><p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family:tahoma;font-size:16px;"><span>Even though your dad is not with you it doesn’t mean that you can’t talk with your dad and can’t have a relationship with him. It may be a little more difficult to keep up but it is worth the work.  With technology you can talk and have healthy communication.  </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family:tahoma;font-size:16px;"><span>The choices that adults make are their choices to make, so don't blame yourself for what has happened. Have you talked to either of your parents about these feelings of guilt that you are having? That may be a good thing to do soon so you can understand better what happened to their relationship.</span></p> <span style="font-size:16px;"> </span><span style="font-family:tahoma;font-size:16px;"> </span><p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family:tahoma;font-size:16px;"><span>Take good care of yourself and know that we are here for you anytime.  Journal, draw, listen to music to help yourself when you are feeling down.  Call, email, chat or text to talk with us anytime you feel you want to talk about how you are feeling.  But you have to be good to your body and mind. Take time for you and get plenty of rest, good nutritional food, plenty of water, and some exercise.  Just don’t bottle up what you are feeling.  Talking with a trusted adult is a great idea to let others into your life to help you and to get support you need.  You don’t have to work through these feelings by yourself.  You’re not alone.</span><br></p> <span style="font-size:16px;"> </span><span style="font-family:tahoma;font-size:16px;"> </span><p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family:tahoma;font-size:16px;"><span>Again, we are here anytime and would like to help.</span><br></p> <span style="font-size:16px;"> </span><span style="font-family:tahoma;font-size:16px;"> </span><p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family:tahoma;font-size:16px;"><span>Take care,</span><br></p> <span style="font-size:16px;"> </span><span style="font-family:tahoma;font-size:16px;"> </span><p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family:tahoma;font-size:16px;"><span>Naina, counselor</span></p> <span style="font-size:16px;"> </span> </div>14
