Who Am I?

Who am I

Feeling like you are worthy in your skin is crucial to living a life with purpose. Sometimes, when you feel hurt by friends, family, or acquaintances, you take on those hurts and make them WHO you are. It can be difficult to hear and accept the views of others while maintaining your own radiance and self-worth. So how can you create healthy boundaries and continue to love yourself?

Look backward at your happiest moments in life, who were you? What did you like about yourself and what did you show to others? Many times, our happiest moments are times when we helped others. Did you provide a shoulder to cry on, create a plan or give guidance in a situation, include people in a space, give a thoughtful gift to someone, courageously try something new, stand up for someone who was struggling, try to reduce tension? By looking at the moments you were happiest and the actions you took, you will better understand who you are designed to be.

It is easy to think that others provide you with your worth, but you were created with value and significance apart from the thoughts of others. By looking backward for inspiration, and moving forward in confidence and hope, you can show your worth whether the person across from you sees it or not. Your worth has nothing to do with the opinions of others. Walking into a space, knowing your value and the contribution you can make to help others, creates an unwavering understanding of self.

Taking a deeper look into your significance, journal and explore these questions:

  • What have been my happiest moments in life, who was I and what did I do in those moments?
  • How can I continue to walk confidently in my value?
  • How can I help and encourage others?

It takes work to walk in your worth. You matter, your heart matters, and your life matters. There has not been anyone like you on this earth, nor will there be. The world needs your help and encouragement. Radiate who you are designed to be.
