Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to our hotline today. Sorry to hear you are having a ruff time at home and at school. You did the right thing by deciding to reach out for support. How long have you been going through this? Talking to your parents again about how you feel would be a good thing. They may not realize just how upset it makes you when they do not ask how you feel when you are upset.
Explain to them that when you have a bad day or feel upset and need their support you feel like they don't listen or care. It is ok to let someone know if something they are doing or not doing upsets and hurts you.
Talk to your parents and see what they say. Be sure to talk to them about how you are being treated in school. Kids can be very mean at times. Bullies pick on people to make them feel bad because they want to see you get upset. We are sorry you have gone through this. You don't deserve to go to school and be treated this way.
Talk to your parents about what has been happening so they can help. You can also go talk to the school counselor about the bullying. Talking to the school counselor will provide you with the help and support you need. Keep in touch with our hotline to let us know how you are doing. We are here for you, you are not alone!
Michelle, Counselor
