| | My Friend And Boyfriend Hate Each Other
My best friend and boyfriend hate each other! They can't even stand being in the same room. I of course love them to death. My best friend tells me she loves me and she wants me to happy so she will get out of my life! I don't want her to go, but I don't want him to go either.
I've tried talking to each one separately. It doesn't work. Today in class she and some jerk off guys kept going on and on about how gross he is and how mean. There was worse stuff but eventually I had to ask to go to the restroom because I was close to crying. I don't know what to do. Please help! | |

This is a very difficult situation to be in and one that is causing you a great deal of hurt and frustration. It might be time to sit your friends down and have a talk with them. Friends are important in our life and it can be really hard when they don't support our choice in who we choose to date. Let each of them know how you feel and how much you are hurting. If your girlfriend cares about you she will stop making hurtful comments and engaging in activities where other people are putting others down.
Ask her to keep her comments to herself and respect your choice; ask the same of your boyfriend. If they are not willing to do this then there sincerity should be questioned. Two people can be pleasant towards the each other, without liking them. In other words, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all."
