|  | Feeling Lonely and Uncared For i am really depressed right now i try talking to people, but no one seems to understand, i am so stressed out with school right now, i am usually really good with math, its my favorite subject but this year... my math grade is almost an f, i think its the teacher, i go in for help but it seems like she doesnt want to help me, also my mom and dad are getting a divorce, i think this has something to do with my grades. i try to show them that i need someone to talk to but they are to busy in their own lives. all my friends dont know me well enough, and my boyfriend doesnt understand. i get really depressed in the morning because i dont want to get up anymore. i dont see the reason on why i should keep on going to school or even getting out of bed, suicide is not an answer for me, believe me i know. i am in a fight with my friends right now because i laughed at one, i think they mistook the laugh and thought that i thought she was stupid and now there is more drama in my life, i have tried to say sorry but they keep on ignoring me. i dont have anyone i can talk to. i feel loney and un cared for. i know that if i ever did leave this world, that there would be people who cared and would cry, but when i am asking them for help reaching out for people to talk to, they turn their backs. some times i feel like no one likes me, and i am just a problem in their lives. i dont want to be forgotten i want people to stop taking advantage over me and help me, i am not sure what to do or why i am saying all this i just want someone to talk to and open up to. ~thank you so much for being here |  |

|  | Boy, you have a lot on your plate right now. It is not surprising that you are feeling stressed and depressed. With school and grades, family problems with your parents divorcing and then friend issues as well, any one of those would make you feel awful.
The worst part of this is that you feel you have no one to talk to about how you are feeling. Perhaps consider making an appointment with your school counselor, then you can talk about the math problem and move into the conversation about what is going on at home with your family. Even though counselors are primarily for guidance in academic struggles, their education and training prepare them to help students deal with social issues as well.
Your friends mistaking your laughing as something negative is unfortunate. When we are burdened with emotional stress in our own lives, it is difficult to maintain friendships. Sometimes we react or respond differently that we normally would. You have apologized and that is the best you can do right now.
Stay in touch and let us know how things are going and if you talked with your counselor. The way we get through the tough times in our lives is relying on our network of support. Please allow us to be part of your network.
