Brick Wall
Have any of you ever felt like there is a "brick wall" infront of you and behind you at the same time?...and it 's like they are both closing on you at the same time? Well that is exactly how i have felt for the past 4 weeks now...it has been so tough on me especially with my Grandma having to be put in a retirement home :(, last week at school was the toughest on me since after my counselor was gone a whole school week plus a day the next week....family matter though :( I felt like  i could just collapse (like  fall down and cry) right in front of my counselor next week...b/c i need him so bad right now...i am out of town with my brother and sister in law and it stinks too (well maybe not all of it) but so far the "highlight" of my vacation has been on Sunday morning when we completed our easter contada...that has been my happiest moment...if I would have known if wa gonan be sooo miserable this week (i leave Friday...thank god) I would HAVE NEVER COME WITH THEM)I am so confused right now... Lsst week I threw out so many attention grabbers ' to my counselro but they didn't work...but when I saw him on friday after school (eater present for him...fresh bakesd mini cupcakes..yum yum)he told me he was sorry he couldn't see me...he really wnated too, and i asked him...have u noticed I have acted a lttle different this week..and he said yes he has..so i told him waht happend with my gma nd he apolihgized...i know i am confusing you b now...lol....please try to understand though...thanks

Wow it sounds as though you have a lot of things going on in your life.  You're right it is so difficult to see your Grandma getting older and having to put in a retirement home.  Just make sure you keep writing to her so you can still feel close to her.  This may cut down on missing her so much.

Sounds like your spring break visit with your brother and sister-in-law didn't go as well as it could have.  Maybe it was because you had so many other things on your mind.  Are you able to talk with either of them (your brother or sister-in-law) about how  you are feeling about things?  It's possible that they would understand what you are going through and be able to provide with some support.

It appears that you have a good relationship with your school counselor and that's great!  Make an appointment to see him as soon as you get back to school.  I

n the meantime keep a journal or write about how you are feeling in order to prevent bottling all your those thoughts up.  And know that you can call our hotline at anytime we are here 24/7.

Take care.
