Thanks for reaching out to us today and trying to figure out what is going on. Sometimes when we act differently we tend to self-diagnose. What I mean by that is, you don't feel the way you normally do so something must be wrong with you. Obviously you do not feel "normal" and are seeking advice about how to get back on track. It sounds like you are going through a typical teen age phase right now.
At your age you are realizing that things are changing. You're now a teenager and people and situations become more important. Your body and mind are maturing and causing you to feel differently about yourself. This is all normal stuff. Since you are having difficulty talking to your mother about your feelings, talk to her about the changes that you're going through and some of the questions you may have about being a teen.
Trust me, the years ahead can be confusing and you will need the advice and support from your family. Have open ended questions for her and ask her how she dealt with it at her age. It's great that you took the time to seek an opinion, now act on it. If you need to talk to us, you can call 1(800) 448-3000, 24/7.
