It's a great idea that you are quitting.  Does your mom smoke?  Do you feel comfortable talking to her about smoking?  If not, is there another adult that you can talk to about it?  Since you are quitting you might need some support from an adult and moms make a great support system.  Talk to her  and let her know what is going on.  She will most likely be proud of you since you have decided to quit. Give it a try and let us know how it is going.  Continue to reach out.
